Mentoring is a key element of the Ingenuity Programme and is crucial for our innovators in the development their ideas. Our growing network of industry and academic experts volunteer their time to support the next generation of changemakers in tackling the biggest challenges facing the UK today.
Previously, our mentoring support has been delivered through face-to-face sessions, but as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are moving this support online with the help of LadderTech.
LadderTech aims to make professional support services more accessible to start-ups. Using a matching algorithm, they partner entrepreneurs with business mentors and professional service providers, based on the individual challenges they face.
Through the private mentoring community designed specifically for Ingenuity, LadderTech is streamlining our mentoring support and ensuring innovators have access to our wider Ingenuity network. The partnership is particularly special, as Indigo Mentoring’s Founder James Doherty is a University of Nottingham Alumni.
“LadderTech will offer us the chance to create a more agile structure of peer to peer and expert mentoring across the programme as the collective intellect of our network is shared”, explained Ingenuity Director Steve Chapman. “Being a Nottingham and Keele start-up, we are excited to work with them to develop the platform so that it can add value to others and help create a strong business for LadderTech.”
