Challenge

Ingenuity has teamed up with Groundwork, a national federation of charities, to work together and find innovative solutions that can transform the lives of the UK’s most disadvantaged groups.

Groundwork is looking to support new solutions that can build community resilience through the following elements of their Challenge:

1. Providing equitable access to nature

How can we make green spaces more accessible and relevant to people in low-income areas? What new activities, products and services can we establish to incentivise their use, and ensure they are safe and enjoyable spaces for all?

This element of the Charity Challenge fits within three of our Challenge Pathways: Build Community, Improve Health and Tackle Climate Change

2. Tackling loneliness and social isolation

How can we improve community connections and reap the associated social and health benefits that come from ending social isolation?

This element of the Charity Challenge fits within our Build Community and Improve Health Challenge Pathways.

3. Supporting sustainable local economies

How can we create new opportunities and pathways for unemployed people to find jobs that benefit their communities and the environment

This element of the Charity Challenge fits within three of our Challenge Pathways: Create Prosperity, Build Community and Tackle Climate Change

The top ideas that respond to the Groundwork Challenge will be invited to receive specialist mentoring from experts in the charity, as well as members of their network who have lived experience of these issues.
